An advisory or a law firm, a public affairs company, and whether you are based in Brussels or elsewhere, you have clients for whom the European Union is central, as a legislator or a regulator, as a market or as a strategic actor.

Your firm will provide its clients with the necessary support, strategic, legal or technical. You will find the relevant interlocutors for your clients. At the same time, you will probably realise that many of them know very little about the European Union and the wider picture. It would certainly help to give them an overview of the EU, how it works and why it works like that, and increase their familiarity with the EU biosphere. This can only help, both your clients and you. So, you may want to include in the package you offer to you clients a couple of sessions or events where the political context is discussed openly and informally. It could be a morning on the EU in general, followed by a brown-bag lunch on what the new budget means for Europe. Or a dinner speech followed by a discussion on the future of European defense. Just pick something that helps you.
